Hope in Jesus

These past few weeks in South Africa have been absolutely incredible! As our team has continued to press in for more breakthrough, the Lord has proven Himself faithful time and time again. We have seen God touch the hearts of many people here in Masiphumelele, and our hearts as a team have been radically changed as well! We have been holding weekly bible studies and worship times at our house in the township, and many people who live in the community come to be a part of what God is doing! A group of us were walking in Masi a few days ago and met some teenage girls who had never really heard about the gospel. They invited us to come into their house and we told them about the power, hope, and freedom that only can come from Jesus Christ. They were very happy to meet us, and were excited when we invited them to come to our bible study the next day. After we had finished our bible study, I asked the girls if they wanted to know more about Jesus and if they wanted to have a relationship with Him. Three of the girls said YES! We prayed with them to receive Holy Spirit and asked that the Lord would reveal Himself to them. Since then we have been meeting with these girls, sharing our testimonies, and encouraging them to seek after God! They are already filled with more joy and peace!

Everyday during the week we walk around Masi and ask God to lead us where He wants us to go. Sometimes we go around and meet new people on the streets and tell them about Jesus, and other times we go to new friends' houses and pray or talk with them. These people just need to know that they are loved and that there is HOPE in Jesus. That is one thing that I have found to be so evident here- the people need to realize that there truly is something to live for; there really is a reason for them to wake up everyday. We are here to bring that hope! It is an amazing feeling to know that we are making a difference for the Kingdom. Lives are being ETERNALLY changed! These people have also changed my life. It is so life-giving to do what we are doing. We were made to do this-- to pour out everything that we have in order for others to know the Love of Christ. Thank you so much for praying for my team and me! We really appreciate your prayers, and we know that we couldn't do it without all of you! Blessings from South Africa!!! Love you guys!

SOUTH AFRICA!

Hello from South Africa! My team and I made it safely to Masiphumelele on March 28th. We have been living in the township with our team and two other South Africans who have been going out on the streets with us and teaching people about Jesus. Here's a quick testimony! Grace (team leader) and I were walking in Masi and saw two girls across the street. We asked them their names and if they had ever heard of Jesus. They said they did not know who this was. So Grace quickly explained who Jesus is and how He has changed her life. They both said they want to know this Jesus! So I prayed with them to receive the Holy Spirit and explained the simplicity of prayer and how we can talk to God anytime we want to, and how He can save us in the middle of our situations. Then we invited them to come over to our house and spend time with us anytime to do bible studies and learn more about Jesus! The Gospel is so SIMPLE! In a matter of 3 minutes, two girls' lives were changed forever as they received Jesus into their hearts. Things like this are happening all over this township. People are hungry for HOPE and LOVE. We are here to bring that to them! :) Thank you for all of your prayers for my team and me! We greatly appreciate it! More updates to come! Love you all!
